Melissa Rauch portrays Abby Stone, the daughter of the late Judge Harry T. Stone – the central figure in the original that aired from 1984 to 1992.
“The eternally optimistic Abby Stone follows in the footsteps of her revered late father, Judge Harry Stone, as she takes on the challenge of overseeing the night shift of a Manhattan arraignment court,” NBC says.
The “Night Court” staff includes Dan Fielding (John Larroquette) as the court’s public defender, Olivia (India de Beaufort) as the assistant district attorney, Neil (Kapil Talwalkar) as the “court’s neurotic clerk” and Donna ‘Gurgs’ Gurganos [Lacretta], the sharp-witted bailiff.
