In the first half of this year, Huawei officially launched a new generation of Mate X2 folding screen mobile phones. The machine comes with a Kirin 9000 chip, a built-in 4500mAh battery, and supports 55W super-fast charging.
Last month, the new version of the Huawei Mate X2 passed through TENAA – TET-AN50. Some Weibo tipsters said that it is the plain leather version of the machine. It will come with the Kirin 9000 5G chip and run the HarmonyOS system.
They also claim the phone will go on sale next month. It may arrive with the rumored flip-type folding screen phone “Mate V”. In addition, the Huawei P50 Pro will get a new shell-changing version in December. This may not be the same as the P50 Pro powered by the Snapdragon 888 version.
As for the existing model, the Huawei Mate X2 adopts a dual-screen design. Both screens support a 90Hz high refresh rate and DCI-P3 wide color gamut. Among them, the 8-inch folding flexible inner screen has an ultra-high resolution of 2480×2200 and a pixel density of 412ppi. The external screen size of the mobile phone is 6.45 inches. It comes with a resolution of 2700×1160 pixels. The pixel density has reached 456 PPI, and the touch sampling rate has been increased to 240Hz.
Under the hood, the Huawei Mate X2 carries the Kirin 9000 chip, which supports a 4G network. It also boasts a Leica quad-camera and supports OIS. The price of the phone is 17,499 yuan ($2820).
And when talking about the Huawei P50 Pro, we should mention the 6.6-inch (2700 x 1224 Pixels) FHD+ curved OLED display first. It comes with a 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, P3 color gamut, up to 1.07 billion colors, etc. As said, inside, it hosts a Snapdragon 888 4G chip. In its turn, the processor is paired with an 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB /256GB / 512GB storage.
Another selling point of the phone is the camera on the rear. It includes a 50MP True-Chroma camera with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS, a 40MP True-Chrome Mono Camera with an f/1.6 aperture, a 13MP ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 64MP telephoto camera with a 90mm focal length(3.9x magnification) and digital zoom of up to 2,700mm. The front camera has a 13MP resolution and an f/2.4 aperture.
The rest of the key features are an in-screen fingerprint sensor, an IP68 waterproof rating, Bluetooth 5.2 LE, GPS (L1 + L5 Dual-band), NFC, USB 3.1 Type-C (GEN1), and a 4360mAh battery supporting the company’s SuperCharge wired fast charging as well as 50W SuperCharge wireless fast charging.

After a few years, when he was thinking the article writing is his mission, Google pushed the Panda update and affected the company and websites he was working at. (Un)fortunately and surprisingly, he got an offer to head a large knitting factory. In 2016, he got his Ph.D. and resumed teaching at the University … and writing tech-related articles following his passion.
