The Mate 50 series has brought new life to the Huawei smartphone ecosystem. And in 2023, Huawei will also resume two flagship launch tradition, reveals a supply chain report.
According to the industry supply chain report (via mydrivers), Huawei has two flagship launch events in 2023. These two flagship unveilings will happen on time. It also mentions that these two flagships are Huawei P60 and Mate 60 series and could launch around March and September respectively.
More on this, these models will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets. But Huawei is still bound to use 4G network access and may not bring 5G.
If the sales volume goes according to the expectation, Huawei could launch new premium phones among consumers. Meanwhile, there’s no information available on the phone’s features or names.
Data generated by smartphone market researchers report that Huawei’s smartphone sales reached 8.6 million in the third quarter of this year. It’s a 48.3% on-year increase and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 34.4 percent. This is a massive improvement for the tech maker.
Moreover, the sharp rise is contributed by the launch of the Huawei Mate 50 series, which offers a variety of new features for the users and allures them with new aesthetics. The success of the Huawei Mate 50 series has seemingly brought a new motivation for the Chinese tech maker.
Despite this massive revelation, Huawei has not confirmed any of this information via the official channel, as we’re still far away from the launch season.
Dual flaghip:
Until 2020, Huawei was launching dual flaghip each year. In the first half, there was a tradition to unveil a P series phone and in the second half, there was a Mate flaghip.
After the chip crisis, Huawei’s supply chain crumbled and the company had a tough time gathering components to build new devices. Thereafter, Huawei had to launch one flagship phone per year. Hence, we saw the Huawei P50 series alone in 2021 and Mate 50 series in 2022.
But the challenges are worth the time ahead, as Huawei is planning to return to full-on flaghip mode in 2023.
