This month, Huawei began recruitment for various old devices for EMUI 12 testing program. The latest software build has various opportunities for the consumers to test the new software features for a better user experience compared to the past version.
Huawei Y9s is one of these devices that is now eligible to Test EMUI 12 beta but the progress is currently under the recruitment phase. Therefore, eligible consumers are required to participate in the program via the BETA app. However, the program may not available for all the consumers, therefore, it’s recommended for you to wait for your term to grab a slot in the testing program.

Currently, Huawei has announced EMUI 12 beta for the following models:
- Huawei Y9s (STK-L21)
- P smart 2019 (POT-LX1 )
- P smart+ 2019 (POT-LX1T)
- P smart Z (STK-LX1)
- P smart Pro (STK-L21)
The required version for the Huawei Y9s to participate in the EMUI 12 beta program is EMUI 10.0.0.475. Hence, these users must have to download the above-mentioned EMUI version to get it onboard. Huawei P Smart 2019, Smart+2019, Smart Z, and Smart Pro also have to get the latest security patch to become eligible for this software upgrade process. 
EMUI 12 features:

Huawei P50 Pro is receiving a new software update in the global market that brings December 2022 security patch for flaghip phone owners. On the other hand, the phone’s wait for EMUI 13 continues to extend.
According to the information, Huawei P50 Pro is receiving the latest software update with a firmware version 12.0.1.288 and an update package size of 358 megabytes.
December 2022 security patch comes with various fixes for software bugs, issues, and vulnerabilities that could cause harm to your phone’s data and privacy. Therefore, you should grab this rollout as soon as it appears in the notification center.
Huawei P50 Pro comes with pre-installed EMUI 12 software, and it is the first in-line contender to test the upcoming EMUI 13 upgrade. However, Huawei has not revealed any details about the next EMUI version but people are so much excited to get the latest offering.
The wait is surreal but we’ll remain vigilant toward the rollout.

Huawei is rolling out December 2022 EMUI software update for Nova 9 smartphone that comes with various new improvements. The software is rolling out in batches for the EMUI 12 powered Huawei Nova 9.
According to the information, Huawei Nova 9 is getting December 2022 security update with EMUI version 12.0.0.166 and it has various fixes for the threats found in the last software build. We suggest you grab this rollout as soon as it appears on your smartphone.
Huawei Nova 9 users can download the latest firmware update via System settings or alternatively via the My Huawei app.
Don’t forget that Huawei Nova 9 is one of the top contenders to get an EMUI 13 software upgrade. However, there’s a roadmap still awaited from the tech maker. Meanwhile, Huawei Nova 9 continues to offer an optimal user experience for consumers.

We’re in December 2022 and Huawei is still sending November security patches for EMUI devices. If you receive these new rollouts, then don’t forget to grab them firsthand to improve your phone’s performance.
However, the wait for the next major Huawei EMUI version climbing new ladders. As every Huawei smartphone user wants to know when Huawei will rollout EMUI 13 or begin its Beta test. Meanwhile, Huawei has not drawn any specific lines to indicate the future of EMUI 13 for global users.
In the midst of these, Honor is rolling out EMUI 12 based Magic UI 5 for its smartphones. The user interface is identical to the based version and only the name has changed so far.
This EMUI 12 rollout for Honor devices is only noted in a few markets. While it may take some time to reach more models.
