If anything, the pandemic has taught us the importance of hygiene and cleanliness with our health. For those of us who are no longer living with our parents, house chores are not an option – that’s even more true if you have a growing family in your home. Thanks to technology, there are ways to ease the burden and lessen your cleaning work load.
The good thing about robot vacuums – they do the cleaning for you and they don’t mind cleaning every day. So with very little effort, we get to keep our floors clean and tidy. This brings us to our new best friend, the ILIFE L100 Robot Vacuum Cleaner.
Under the ILIFE umbrella, there are various models, the L100 happens to be the No.1 best seller from its range. With the ILIFEHOME app and Wi-Fi connection, you can turn the robot on and off, or set an automatic cleaning schedule. You can determine what time you want the robot vacuum to clean which part of the house.
Assembling the ILIFE L100 Robot Vacuum Cleaner can seem overwhelming at first, but once you’ve identified the components, it’s pretty straight forward. The box comes with the vacuum cleaner with dry cleaning filter, spare HEPA filter, spare brush, spare microfiber, 4 brushes (2 right and 2 left), wet cleaning container complete with microfiber and batteries for the remote control.
It also has a charging base (with EU plug) and platform that is semicircular in shape. The base has 2 pins for stability and a sensor at the top of the base. The remote control with screen (2 AAA batteries included) has a navigation function (start/ pause button) and 6 buttons (home, time setting, cleaning mode and more).
The ILIFE L100 Robot Vacuum Cleaner has 2 separate containers – 1 for waste (dry cleaning) and another water container (wet cleaning – vibrating type). Unlike some vacuum cleaners, this model doesn’t allow the user to use both simultaneously.
For dry cleaning, the robot has a 2-in-1 roller brush that helps it adjust to uneven surface and makes it easier to suck in dust and debris. The dry container (or Cellular Dustbin) has different stages of filtration, including a “honeycomb” technology to separate dust from coarse debris. This helps extend the life of the paper filter.
The intelligent laser sensor is able to scan the room and immediately build a cleaning map in real time. At the push of the button, the robot gets to work, collecting dust, hair and other debris. During the cleaning process, we also notice that this smart device almost never touches the furniture and other obstacles, thanks to its anti-collision sensors.
When using the ILIFEHOME app, you can view the current status on display. From there, you can get the robot to start cleaning, select a specific room for it to clean, or even set restricted areas where it shouldn’t enter. Besides a cleaning schedule, cleaned rooms can be saved to maps for future cleaning. This will help speed up the cleaning process since it already knows the optimal route.
While dry cleaning can be planned, wet cleaning requires supervision. You’ll have to pour water into a specific hole before the wet cleaning occurs. The water tank imitates the human method of mopping back and forth by vibrating up and down. This ensures better efficiency and prevents excessive moisture on the floor.
If you’re always rushing for time or dislike vacuuming, having a robot vacuum like the ILIFE L100 is definitely a life saver. All you need to do is press the start button and it’ll figure out the rest. If you’re thinking of getting one, take advantage of the 9.9 sale happening this week on Shopee and Lazada.
