Italian-born Swiss businessman Ernesto Bertarelli has joined the list of candidates to purchase Inter from Suning.
This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who name the Swiss billionaire as the fourth party interested in acquiring the Nerazzurri alongside two US-based funds and an Emirati fund.
A report yesterday from UK-based news outlet Financial Times claimed that Suning have officially put Inter up for sale through investment banks Goldman Sachs and Raine Group.
Further reports today suggested that there are four parties who are exploring the possibility of purchasing the Nerazzurri.
Two US-based funds are among these, with SportMediaset claiming that a consortium led by US businessman and Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Marc Lasry is among them.
In addition to these, a fourth possible buyer would be Bertarelli, currently the richest man in Switzerland.
Bertarelli, who was born in Italy but currently resides in Switzerland, is also an avid sailor, having won the America’s Cup in 2003.
