Jessica Henwick has been repeatedly pitching a John Wick female spin-off to Keanu Reeves during production on The Matrix 4.
Henwick and Reeves are currently hard at work on the sci-fi sequel, with filming taking place in Berlin.
And there’s been plenty of downtime during shooting, especially with all of the safety protocols that are required because of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The 28-year-old English actress has more than made the most of this opportunity, telling The Hollywood Reporter that she has been pitching “Jess Wick to Keanu all the time”.
In fact, she’s been doing it so often, she’s pretty certain she has been “driving him crazy”.

By the sound of things, though, Henwick has perfected her pitch. “I was like, ‘OK, Keanu, listen to me. Boom. John Wick 4, last 5 minutes, credits roll, post-credit sequence. Boom! You see my face, Jess Wick.’”
Reeves apparently responded rather well to her proposal, too, because after she started “acting it out” he then followed her lead and did so, too. “We put on this little 10-minute show of what Jess Wick and John Wick would be like.”
Henwick already has a second victim in her sights too, because after impressing Reeves with her impromptu performance she is now preparing to pitch Jess Wick to Chad Stahelski, who has directed all of the instalments of the action franchise, when she leaves the Berlin set of The Matrix 4 in two weeks.

Over the next few weeks Henwick can be seen in Love And Monsters and On The Rocks, while in 2021 she’ll appear in Godzilla Vs Kong, and then, in 2022, The Matrix 4.
