Australia Sports Mogul Todd Greenberg Sells Sydney Area Home for A$5.55 Million
Todd Greenberg, the former boss of the National Rugby League and currently the head of Australian Cricketers’ Association, has sold his contemporary waterfront home in the Sydney suburb Oatley for A$5.55 million (US$3.74 million). The three-story house has five bedrooms, three bathrooms, a heated swimming pool and a jetty. Mr. Greenberg and his wife, Lisa, are downsizing, according to their listing agents. The sale price broke the previous record for the suburb, set by a A$4.85 million house that sold earlier this month. realestate.com.au
Another Italian Town Is Selling Homes for €1, Though Buyers Have to Spend on Renovations
Sant’Elia a Pianisi, a small town in the southern Italian region Molise, is offering homes for sale for just €1 (US$1.06). But buyers will have to put down a deposit of €5,000 and present a renovation project plan to the local authority within six months of purchasing it. The town is the latest area to be added to the €1 housing scheme across Italy, which hopes to revitalize these quiet areas abandoned by younger generations in favor of opportunities in big cities. Sales of Scottish Country Estates Fell 18% in 2022, But Prices Are Resilient
The number of estate sales in Scotland fell 18% year over year in 2022, while prices remain “significantly higher” than they were two years ago, according to U.K. property consultancy Strutt & Parker. The total value of the estate sales stood at £188 million (US$226 million), down 24% from a record-breaking £247 million in 2021. The average sales price was £8.2 million, a 7% decrease from 2021 but still much higher than the five-year average of £5.4 million, Strutt & Parker said. Agriland

Drummer Anton Fig, who played in Paul Shaffer’s house band for both of David Letterman’s late night shows is ready to make a move.
