This one’s not for the faint-hearted, or those dedicated to the minimalist aesthetic. Fashion designer Richard Quinn leans towards rich floral fantasy in his design language, with a love for both Parisian haute couture and wallpaper-like English flower prints, an aesthetic now embraced by Jo Malone London in their latest collaboration.
The fragrance and lifestyle house has joined forces with Richard Quinn on a limited-edition series of scents and candles for the home, where we see the designer’s more-is-more florals blooming across products and other finishing touches, such as gift boxes and ribbons. The British fashion label was most recently awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design as well.
“We are both British-based brands and are interested in fantasy and florals, so it felt very natural,” says Quinn of the collaboration. “We tried to create a visual representation of the scents using different styles of print designs.”
As such, you’ll find a limited edition Tuberose Angelica Design Edition Ceramic Candle housed in a classy vessel of quaint blue roses, with a matching outer casing that features bright yellow blooms.
For Jo Malone London’s popular scents, these are available as either ‘Fruity Floral’ or ‘Wild Flower’ candle pairs, with each duo arriving in romantic hat boxes that feature vintage-style floral prints.
The ‘Fruity Floral’ pair features the brand’s bestselling Peony & Blush Suede and English Pear & Freesia candles in a box of vivid blooms that stand out against a black backdrop, while the ‘Wild Flower’ series sees Honeysuckle & Davana and Wild Bluebell paired with more dainty cool-toned florals.
Peony & Blush Suede Design Edition Scented Liners complete the collection, perfect for those who are looking to add a touch of subtle fragrance to your drawers.
