Indonesia is expected to hold the Group of 20 (G20) summit in October in a slightly changed format, with more emphasis on bringing in prominent figures to speak at the high-profile event.
Communications and Information Ministry director general of information and public communication Usman Kansong told The Jakarta Post that President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo planned to invite innovators, philanthropists and business leaders to take part in the summit, which is set to be held in Bali, this year.
He said that the President planned to invite some prominent figures such as former CEO of Microsoft Bill Gates and CEO of Meta Mark Zuckerberg, among others, to speak at the event.
