Kevin Wayne Shoopman, age 59, of Glasgow, passed away at his home on September 1, 2023. Kevin was born on February 10, 1964, in Barren County, Kentucky, to the late Carl Shoopman and Nadine (Keys) Nichols. Kevin was a member of the Lick Branch Church in Edmonton, Kentucky.
Kevin was an employee of Bluegrass Dairy and Food as a machine operator and line leader for the last 15 years. Kevin enjoyed watching the Kentucky Wildcats any chance you could, playing disc golf, and traveling. Kevin never met a stranger and always made the people around him full of laughter. His most precious time was spent surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his mother Nadine (Keys) Nichols; his wife of 22 years, Tracy (Huff) Shoopman; his sons, Justin DeWayne Davis (Viviana), Ryan Russell Shoopman (Jenny Franklin), and Jessie Dean Shipley; seven grandchildren, Abel Shipley, Salyssa Jo Shoopman, Adrienne Davis, Viana Davis, Justin Davis, Jaxson Dominic Wayne Shoopman, and Sophia Border; five Brothers, Mark Nichols, Grover Nichols (Nickie), Skeet Shoopman (Linda), Jonathan Nichols, and Chris Nichols; two Sisters, Vickie Wagner (Robert) and Barbara Nichols (Jason). He is also survived by four special friends that were like family, Ricky Houchens, Ricky Wilson, Steve Williams, and Barry Isenberg.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Racheal Nichols and Tammy Shoopman; and his best friend, Mark Bowles.
The funeral service for Mr. Shoopman will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 6th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Lick Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 5th from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday morning until time for the service at the funeral home
