Lindsays is the newest name on the legal scene in Perth
Lindsays is the newest name on the legal scene in Perth.
Despite this, the experience the firm has in supporting people and businesses could not be greater.
The firm, which dates back more than 200 years, is expanding its reach across Perthshire following a merger with long-established legal practice Miller Hendry, with its well-known solicitors joining the enlarged Lindsays family.
Lindsays is committed to retaining, and potentially expanding, its presence in the city and throughout the region to provide expert, accessible and reliable legal support in communities.
Alasdair Cummings, Lindsays’ managing partner, said: “This expansion is an exciting opportunity, giving all our existing and new clients access to our full range of legal expertise. Our well-established team can help you, your family and your business, whatever your legal needs.
“We have worked with a number of clients across Perthshire for many years, and have long recognised the potential which exists to grow our network throughout the region. Through our new colleagues and offices in Perth and Crieff, we will do exactly that.”
Lindsays is already well known throughout Tayside through its team based in Dundee, who are supported by the knowledge and experience from colleagues based in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The partners and staff from Miller Hendry have now joined Lindsays, meaning that for former clients of the Perthshire firm, the transition to Lindsays will be seamless, and they can now enjoy a wider range of legal services.

For people and families, Lindsays' highly regarded Private Client and Family Law teams provide expert advice, tailored to your circumstances – from Wills and trusts to prenuptial agreements, divorces, inheritance tax planning and so much more.
They take great pride in working with people over a lifetime, examining specific circumstances and helping clients plan for the unexpected, as well as the expected.
Lindsays’ residential property and estate agency teams are already among the most active across Tayside. Whether buying or selling, they stack the deck in your favour by using their insight into the region’s market. Skilled negotiators and hands-on advisors are there every step of the way, supported by experienced, locally based lawyers.
Clients of Lindsays’ commercial teams include property developers, companies from start-ups to multi-generation family businesses and charities. The firm offers a broad range of specialist services, including commercial property, corporate, dispute resolution, debt recovery, employment law and charity governance services.
Having worked with SMEs, larger corporates and organisations operating in the third sector across Scotland and the UK, lawyers at Lindsays understand the commercial challenges and demands experienced – whatever their business’s size or industry sector.
They also work extensively in rural services, providing advice to the likes of landed estates and farmers on a whole range of issues, ranging from tenancies to woodlands and renewable energy developments.
Mr Cummings added: “Whether in your personal or business affairs, the need for sound, experienced legal advice has never been greater. Our team across the region – supported by those who they can call upon from further afield – offer expertise and insight, whatever your situation.
“We look forward to working with even more people locally.”
