It’s true, Joe Biden’s not a particularly popular president, but his current approval rating of 49% is higher than Donald Trump ever achieved. Let’s review their records:
Trump — the first president in almost a century to lose jobs in his first term, the first to maintain a debt to GDP ratio over 100% throughout his term, had the most new jobless claims ever, had the largest annual budget deficit and added the most to the national debt, presided over the longest government shutdown in history, was the first president to be impeached twice, and had the most criminal indictments and criminal convictions of any administration ever. (Not to mention all the treason, and stealing national secrets.)
Biden — received more votes than anyone in American history, in his first year he presided over the most job creation ever, cut the deficit by 17%, had the most new business startups, had the highest GDP growth in 40 years, the S&P 500 hit record highs 70 times, had the lowest jobless claims in 50 years, had the fastest economic recovery ever, and achieved the lowest child poverty rate ever.
Trump promised an infrastructure bill, Biden delivered. Trump promised a gun safety bill, Biden delivered. Trump negotiated with the Taliban to free 5,000 militants, Biden ended America’s longest war.
Inflation’s leveled off, COVID’s been tamed, the dollar is at a 20-year high, gas prices are plunging, and al-Zawahiri is dead.
Trump vs Biden in 2024? Be careful what you wish for, Republicans.
