Many conservatives were jubilant when the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe. Apparently, because of the decision, the procedure of a vasectomy on American men has become very popular. According to an article in Politico, Dr. Esgar Guarin, who practices in Iowa and northern Missouri has been swamped with patients seeking “the cut” following the decision.
If this effect continues, we in America are going to experience a significant drop in population and will need to open the gates to immigration much wider than they are today. Is this really what conservatives want?

The election is over and it is patently clear inflation, crime and spending are not what Republicans intend to address. Republicans are silent on substantive policy responses. Instead, Republicans have determined that issuing subpoenas and impeachments are top priorities. Vengeance is not governing.
Regarding inflation, Biden’s decision on the petroleum reserves was the right one and is working. Ignoring the impact of Russian aggression and Saudi decisions reducing production blatantly ignores their not-so-subtle efforts to promote another Trump Presidency. Also, not scrutinizing profits in the oil, meat-packing and pharmaceutical industries overlooks highly contributory factors to our inflation. Further, the monies spent by Democrats and President Biden have reversed the economic disaster transferred to them on January 20, 2021.
As for Ukraine, it would be morally unacceptable for America to abandon a nation intent upon joining the world’s democracies. Such action would ensure Putin’s success and reward his human rights abuses. Our choice is whether we allow Putin or MBS (Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia) to subsume our interests to theirs. Putin especially has clearly indicated a stronger preference for Donald. Does America really want dictators and Saudi oil to determine America’s future? Ukraine is our moral test and we must not fail.
In closing, Biden won fairly, managed our course through COVID and saved our economy. Biden signed the first infrastructure bill passed in decades. Unless the MAGA caucus spawns as much damage as possible and then uses the inaction as a ‘talking point,’ our trajectory is conspicuously positive. November’s jobs report of 260,000 jobs created and an unemployment rate at 3.7% are consistent with the Democratic Party’s performance for over a century. Republican’s primary tool is always cutting taxes for the rich, while offering mere morsels for the rest. For Republicans, government is to be starved, not a responsibility. We need performance, not vengeance.

After the midterms, Donald Trump will never be the fifth face on Mt. Rushmore even though he is hanging on like a cocklebur stuck to your favorite cutoffs.
Voters are focusing on kitchen table issues. The GOP — in lieu of a platform — is attacking Biden and Pelosi and continuing to block anything “Democrat.”
Are Abbott and Desantis Native American names with no immigrant ancestry?
Kevin McCarthy — master of doublespeak — raised a licked finger to check wind direction, ignored midterm indicators, and joyously declared, “We fired Nancy Pelosi!” Voters want a real platform not just another ploy.
Here is what Biden and Democrats have done for the American people. They gave us the Inflation Reduction Act, lowering drug costs, tax credits for energy projects, tackling climate change, reducing the deficit, creating jobs, and holding the wealthy accountable for their fair share of taxes. Unemployment is 3.7%.
They passed the Pact Act extending benefits and services to toxic-exposed veterans — the first in 30 years.
They passed the Chips and Science Act to accelerate manufacturing semiconductors, resulting in good paying jobs and a stronger American supply chain.
Joe Biden restored strength to NATO, without which most of Europe would be under Russian attack. Russia did internet attacks to aid Trump in 2016. Trump tried to destroy NATO. Coincidence?
Republicans are planning on cutting Social Security and Medicare in their five-year plan. They restrict abortion and contraception while touting small government. They are chiseling away at free speech, planning to destroy the petition process by over-regulation.
They continue attacking Joe Biden on inflation and gas prices even though these are worldwide problems due to the war in Ukraine.
Try making your own list of GOP beneficial legislation that improves all American lives. Any luck?
