An office tower in Manhattan’s Midtown South that was one of WeWork’s major New York locations will undergo a condo conversion, becoming the neighborhood’s first office-to-condo redevelopment since the beginning of the Covid pandemic. WeWork once occupied more than 60,000 square feet of the 200,000-square-foot building before the co-working company filed for bankruptcy. Real estate firm Elad Group bought the building for $72 million and plans to convert the 20-story tower into roughly 100 market-rate condos by 2026. New York Post
