KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 2): Malaysia Airlines Bhd has launched MHpay, an alternative payment platform for customers to book flight tickets virtually.
Malaysia Airlines said on its own website that MHpay is facilitated by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and is in collaboration with major financial entities.
Customers will be redirected to IATA’s secure site to transfer funds directly from their bank account to Malaysia Airlines through IATA, which manages these payments on behalf of the national airline. Once the payment is completed, customers will receive e-tickets sent to the email address provided during the booking process, it added.
MHpay also offers flexible payment options such as instalment payment plan, for bookings with a minimum transaction of RM500, which would be eligible for a six-month plan while a 12-month plan would be valid for bookings of at least RM1,000.
Malaysia Airlines said the instalment payment plan can be made with Maybank, Public Bank, CIMB Bank and Hong Leong Bank through Visa, Mastercard and American Express issued credit cards.
