With Supply Down, Australian House Prices Surge
House prices in Australia increased 8.3% in May on an annual basis, according to data from CoreLogic. Prices have risen for six straight months, and were also up by 0.8% from the previous month. The median home price in Sydney is now about A$1.16 million (US$770,129), matching its January 2022 peak. The spike in home prices can largely be attributed to tight supply. PropertyWire
