The opening ceremony of Manufacturing Expo 2023 and Automotive Summit 2023, themed “Reshape the Future of the Thai Automotive Industry,” was presided over by Mrs. Warawan Chitaroon, Director General of The Office of Industrial Economics. This collaboration between the Thailand Automotive Institute and RX Tradex marks their 10th year of organising the event together, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the Thailand Automotive Institute. The unique 8-in-1 Mega Event format, introduced by RX Tradex, seamlessly combines five specialised manufacturing industries with three supporting industries, resulting in the comprehensive Manufacturing Expo 2023. This year’s event is particularly significant as it signifies a positive shift in scale compared to previous years, which were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. It serves as a testament to the readiness of the Thai industry, showcasing its manufacturing capabilities and the presentation of cutting-edge technologies. Furthermore, the enthusiastic participation of international investors in this event highlights their recognition of the abundant business opportunities present in Thailand.
The Ministry of Industry places immense importance on the development and transformation of manufacturing machinery under the concept of Industry 4.0. This approach aims to achieve efficient production within the supply chain by reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions through the implementation of robotics and automated machinery. Additionally, digital technology is utilised for real-time production planning and management. Various measures are being implemented to facilitate the effective transition of industrial operators into Industry 4.0, fostering continuous growth and innovation within the manufacturing sector.
