On Monday, the Trump Organization announced its plans to develop a high-end residential tower in Jeddah, marking the company’s first foray into the Saudi Arabian market. Götene, Sweden, about 200 miles from Stockholm, has had to pause its land selling scheme after a deluge of demand from would-be buyers. The town had announced it would be selling plots of land starting at 1 krona (US$0.09) per square meter, in an effort to attract more residents with the only official requirement being to build the house within two years of buying the land. Buying has been paused until early August, and it’s likely a bidding process will be introduced. CNBC
