A growing Perthshire home improvement firm has sealed an exclusive partnership with a major kitchen manufacturer – as it announces a six-figure investment in its business.
Re Nu Kitchens and Bathrooms, based in Lower Friarton, Perth, has become the sole retailer of JT Ellis kitchens in Scotland after agreeing a deal with the Yorkshire-based furniture-maker.
Re Nu is set to launch the range later this month, with Masterchef finalist Sarah Rankin carrying out cookery demonstrations at the firm’s new kitchen design studio on the opening night in a special early evening event on Thursday, February 23.
Sarah from Kinross said: “I’m thrilled to be working with Craig, Dave and the rest of the team at Re Nu. I am all about community and I’m delighted to be able to help showcase a brilliant local business.
“Their plans for growing and diversifying their services are really exciting and I’m looking forward to cooking up a storm in their new demo kitchen.”
Re Nu, which was named Perthshire’s Employer of the Year at last year’s Chamber of Commerce Star Awards, is investing over £100,000 in its expansion in to kitchen design and installation.
Ellis – based in Huddersfield and employing more than 200 staff at its 200,000sq ft factory in the Yorkshire town – is a family-owned business that has grown to be an industry leader in combining stylish design with high-quality materials.
Re Nu, which opened in 2019 and has grown exponentially since, is the first and only retailer to partner with JT Ellis in Scotland and employ an in-house team of tradesmen to work on its projects.
The firm is targeting not only home owners renovating its kitchens but housebuilders and developers across the country looking to specify high-quality kitchens for their projects.
Niall Laughland, director of Re Nu, said the rapidly growing firm was “excited to expand” into the kitchen business.
He added: “Re Nu has grown from humble beginnings to being a successful, busy firm with hundreds of satisfied customers.
“It was only logical that we would look to expand into new areas – and this partnership is an exciting opportunity for us.
“We have always sought to reinvest in our business – be it in our staff, our design studio or our overall infrastructure – since the word go.
“JT Ellis share our values of top-quality workmanship and high-quality products, and we’ve used their bathroom range extensively with our clients who are always delighted with the quality.
“We are certain that satisfaction will continue in their kitchen range.”
Craig Smith, co-director, added: “We have been working closely with JT Ellis to bring their kitchens to Scotland for the first time and to build a new design studio on our premises that does their product range justice.
“This is an exciting time for the business and we look forward to welcoming our first kitchen clients later this month.”
Richard Ellis, joint managing director of JT Ellis, said: “We are delighted to bring our range of kitchens to Scottish homes working with our trusted partner Re Nu.
“Re Nu share our values of top quality workmanship, excellent service and customer satisfaction above all else and we look forward to a long and successful partnership with them.”
Perthshire Chamber chief executive Vicki Unite said: “Re Nu is one of the Perthshire business success stories of recent years and it is great to see it develop further.”
