Dear Reader,
The Telegraph’s Lockdown Files have everybody talking. The release of more than 100,000 leaked WhatsApp messages between Matt Hancock and senior ministers has uncovered for the first time the power struggles and conflicts that took place at the highest levels of Government over how the pandemic should be managed.
The journalist Isabel Oakeshott shared these messages with The Telegraph and found herself at the centre of a political storm for doing so. She reveals that Mr Hancock sent her a threatening message at 1.20am on Wednesday, hours after we published our special report. Elsewhere, Allister Heath explores why no one has been held accountable for the untruths peddled to the public.
Visit our Lockdown Files hub here to read every fascinating story. We will continue to add new revelations in the coming days.
Chris
