Meghan Markle has sent a letter to King Charles requesting a one-to-one meeting before the Sussexes’ departure for Los Angeles, a royal expert has sensationally claimed.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will attend the Queen’s funeral today (September 19) after spending the last 10 days in the UK mourning the monarch’s death.
During this time, Meghan and Harry appear to have made moves to heal the rift with Prince William and Kate Middleton, after the previously-termed fab four appeared on a surprise walkabout together where they met crowds.

Now, royal commentator Neil Sean has claimed that the former royal may hope to patch up her relationship with the new monarch after a reportedly turbulent couple of years.
“Allegedly, she’d now like, before their return back to California, to have a one-to-one audience with King Charles III,” Neil told viewers of his YouTube channel.
“According to that good source, this [request] was made in a formal letter; this is how you write to the King, through his equerry and then of course that’s passed on etc.”
“Basically according to this letter, she feels it would be an opportunity to clear the air, sort the rights from wrongs and explain some of the rationale behind what they’ve been doing over the last two years.”
Meghan and Harry left the Royal Family in early 2020, and after moving to America the couple challenged the royal institution in a divisive interview with Oprah Winfrey.

During the chat, which was broadcast in March a year later, Harry claimed that he had been cut off financially by his dad Prince Charles after quitting as a working royal, leading to rumours of a royal rift.
And, although Neil suggested that Meghan’s alleged invitation to King Charles may go some way to fixing this, the royal commentator admitted that he was unsure whether the conversation would take place.
He added: “Truthfully, we have no idea whether this is going to go forwards… But I think it’s a very brave move for Meghan.”
