A WOMAN says her pals think her side hustle is a joke even though she makes £800 a day just from her phone.
The TikTok user known as 'Mel the Affiliate' took to the social media platform to reveal to her 390,000 followers what she does.
In the brief clip, Mel is seen smiling and nodding at the camera with the captions saying she makes the money “from the comfort of my home”.
Then she adds in the caption: “I’m now helping others do the same.”
Mel then says: “With the correct training you can do this too,” adding that she can be contacted through Instagram or via the link in her bio.
The footage has already gained more than 200 like and 21 comments.
In other online clips Mel has revealed she does affiliate marketing.
In brief, affiliate marketing is a performance-based marketing system.
A company compensates third-party publishers (affiliates or employees) to generate traffic and the commission fee incentivises them to find ways to promote the company, per Investopedia.
In another clip, Mel said: “Did you know you can promote companies on social media and make £1.6k to £2.4k a month as a complete beginner.
“No need to buy an inventory or ship products.
“Big companies like Amazon, Lululemon, Nike, Walmart and Target have programmes you can join and you can do it from home.”
Another TikToker who also does affiliate marketing as a side hustle says she made the equivalent of £9,600 in her first three months.
Morgan runs the TikTok account @wealthbeyondboundaries, which has over 36,000 followers on the platform.
Clicking the link in her bio features an online course that people can take to start their own online business.
Her advice comes after a freelancer quit her job to do her side hustle full-time while doing less work.
Meanwhile, a thrifty entrepreneur quit her engineering job at 24 and now makes £136,700 a year from her favourite hobby.
