A Huawei unit is shipping new Chinese-made chips for surveillance cameras in a fresh sign the Chinese tech giant is finding ways around four years of US export controls, two sources briefed on the unit’s efforts said. The shipments from the company’s HiSilicon chip design unit started this year.

The Tasmanian tiger is extinct, but that does not mean scientists have stopped learning about it. Researchers said they have recovered RNA – genetic material present in all living cells that has structural similarities to DNA – from the desiccated skin and muscle of a Tasmanian tiger stored since 1891 at a museum.
