It’s been two years since we last published a round-up of new and forthcoming hotels in London, but in many ways it feels like a lifetime.
Back in January 2021 the UK was in the grips of a third national Covid-19 lockdown, with stay-at-home orders and the controversial introduction of hotel quarantine for travellers arriving from red list countries.
Fast forward to January 2023 and Covid-19 restrictions have long since been removed, but the last two years have taken their toll on London’s hotel industry, with several properties being forced to close, others changing hands, and many projects having been delayed.
Still, the UK capital remains one of the world’s most visited cities, and this round-up includes more than 50 hotels which have either opened since April 2021 (when restrictions started to lift), or are slated to be unveiled in early 2023 and beyond.
The sixth London property under Accor’s joint venture with the Pierre and Vacances Center Parcs group opened in April 2021.
