Home Prices And Listings Are Both Growing in Florida
Florida’s median home price and the number of listings on the market grew in January, according to data from Florida Realtors, a state-based trade organization for real estate professionals. The median sales price for single-family existing homes reached $405,000, an increase of 3.8% from the same time last year. Condos and townhouses saw their median price rise to $320,000, up 3.2% from January 2023. Housing Wire
Singapore’s Bungalow Market Hits Historic Low
Good Class Bungalow sales in Singapore hit an all-time low last year. Over the last five years, sales of landed homes fluctuated between 1,300 and 1,800 units, but in 2023 only 1,268 changed hands, down from 1,681 in 2022, according to Urban Redevelopment Authority data. However, Han Huan Mei, research director at List Sotheby’s International Realty, says the bungalow market is “down but not out.” These large homes that sit on sizable plots are rare in Singapore, with only 5% of residents living in them. Prospective buyers are likely waiting for sellers to cut their prices, as home prices still climbed last year despite the sales slump. The Independent Singapore
Dutch Property Prices Expected to Hit Record High This Year
Home prices in the Netherlands are set to increase by between 5% and 8% this year, leaving them well above their previous peak, recorded in July 2022, by the end of the year, according to ING. “The fact that prices have recently risen sharply is mainly due to strong wage increases and the growing shortages in the housing market,” economist Sander Burgers said. Wages increased 6.9% annually in the last quarter of 2023 and ING expects further gains. NL Times
