Since former President Donald Trump announced his bid for the 2024 presidential election, he has not been without support from Alabama politicians.
Dale Strong recently won his congressional election for Alabama’s Fifth Congressional District, which is to be vacated by outgoing U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Huntsville). Strong received Trump’s endorsement in late October, two weeks before the November 8 election.
In a Facebook post, Strong reciprocated his support for the former president in his 2024 run, even inviting him for a “huge” rally in Alabama.
“Donald Trump has my full endorsement in his campaign for President,” Strong said. “In the White House he closed our borders, brought back thousands of American jobs and had the economy growing like never before. I was honored to have President Trump’s endorsement in my campaign and invite him to return to north Alabama any time for another huge rally! MAGA!!”
Strong is not the only one in Alabama politics to endorse Trump’s bid.
U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) has backed Trump’s presidential aspirations from the beginning.
On November 11, Tuberville appeared on Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria” and said he would “100%” be backing Trump’s 2024 bid.
On November 17, Tuberville made his endorsement official, which Trump boasted of on his Truth Social account.
