Canberra Is the Only Australian Capital City to Record a Decrease in Rental Prices
Canberra, Australia—one of the country’s most expensive rental markets—is the only capital city where rents have fallen in the past three months, according to data from Domain. House rents in Canberra hit a two-year low in the third quarter, down 3% quarterly and 3.7% annually to a median of A$655 (US$410) per week. Home Sales in Montreal Rose 9% in September
Montreal home sales in September rose 9% compared to a year ago, but remained below the historic average for the month, according to the Quebec Professional Association of Real Estate Brokers. The group said home sales in the city reached 2,738 in September, up from 2,514 at the same time last year. The median price of a single-family home in Montreal was C$549,000 (US$400,712), up 3% from a year ago, while the median condominium price was C$402,000, up 6%. CTV News
