Oti is a by-the-slice pizza and sandwich joint from Merivale, helmed by group executive chef Mike Eggert.
Located on Palings Lane behind Bar Totti’s, it takes the place of master pastry chef Lorraine Godsmark’s eponymous patisserie, and continues the carb theme with slabs of Roman-style pizza, and Italianate sandwiches made on hand-stretched schiaciatta bread.
Pizza toppings change daily – but might include a classic Margherita; a Hawaiian-inspired slab with shaved ham, pineapple and Calabrian chilli; and capricciosa with ham, artichoke, mushrooms and white olives on a white base. As for sandwiches, it might be prosciutto with rocket and mozzarella; and mortadella with ricotta, stracciatella, black pepper and a lick of pesto.
Oti is takeaway-only and open late on Friday and Saturday.
