Remotebase, a Pakistan-based recruitment marketplace, has raised a $2.1 million pre-Series A round co-led by Indus Valley Capital and Hustlefund Ventures, with participation from Soma Capital, Angel Squad, Draper Associates, and strategic angel investors.
Founded in 2020 by Qasim Asad Salam and Talha Masood, Remotebase enables companies to hire pre-vetted developer teams for their business through the startup’s app.
With remote work becoming mainstream, Remotebase hires and onboards developers and engineers to work for innovative companies in Silicon Valley and across the U.S. Talently is the startup’s latest recruitment app for onboarding talent. “Building and scaling our platform from just 11 engineers to now over 60,000+ within 2.5 years has truly been rewarding,” Qasim Salam, CEO of Remotebase, tells StartupScene. “With Talently we want to democratize work and enable millions of individuals from emerging countries to have access to the best opportunities in the world.”
According to the startup, it has 60,000 engineers on its roster, with each candidate undergoing tests and interviews to assess their skills and competencies.
