PT Pelita Air Service, a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina, has announced the launch of a Jakarta-Bali route as it goes head-to-head with major airlines.
In a move away from the charter business, Pelita Air will use two recently purchased Airbus A320-200 aircraft for the popular route from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport near Jakarta to I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali.
The inaugural flight is scheduled for Thursday, Pelita Air Service announced in a press release on Wednesday.
