A prominent Perth restaurant owner has been accused of physically and sexually assaulting six female employees in 2020.
Maurizio Di Ciano, the head chef and owner of No Menu Finest Italian in Highgate, appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday charged with three counts of sexual penetration without consent, nine counts of indecent assault and four counts of common assault.

A WA Police spokeswoman said sex assault squad detectives would allege the 48-year-old targeted women at his workplace aged in their 20s and 30s.
“The women who are foreign nationals had recently been employed by the man when the offences occurred,” she said.
Mr Di Ciano, who is on bail, is next due to appear in court on August 3 following a brief hearing on Thursday where no further details about the accusations were discussed.
The Italian-born chef’s restaurant is known for its degustation menus, where guests do not know what food they will be receiving until each course is brought out by service staff.
On his website, Mr Di Ciano boasts of serving celebrities including Frank Sinatra, Sean Connery and Madonna in Europe before eventually moving to Perth.
He launched No Menu on Beaufort Street in 2017.
