Premier Inn has named the opening date for its Llandudno town centre hotel. The hotel has been built on the site of the former Tudno Castle which was demolished due to its poor condition to make way for the new development.
The site was originally due to open back in 2021 but Premier decided to reconfigure the plans. This saw extra rooms added in space that had previously been earmarked for retail.
It took the total number of rooms in the Llandudno site from 63 to 90. There is also an in-house Thyme restaurant.
There will be 35 roles created and the hotel will open on August 15. This follows the opening earlier this summer of a new hotel in Porthmadog.

A spokesperson for Premier Inn said: "We are over the moon to announce that we will be opening the doors to the brand-new Llandudno Town Centre hotel on 15 August. It will be a significant moment for us as we bring our very latest offer, including 14 of our enhanced Premier Plus bedrooms, into the very heart of the famous resort.
"We have a fantastic team in place who are ready to welcome our customers and offer the high standards, fantastic service and excellent value Premier Inn is known for. Our hotels in popular seaside locations are trading very well at the moment, and given the location, the offer and the beautiful new building we have created, we expect the Llandudno Town Centre Premier Inn will be extremely popular with our customers."
