The Prince of Wales recently reunited with his youngest son in a surprise meeting. Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, secretly stopped off in the UK on their way to the Invictus Games in the Netherlands. They travelled to Windsor, where they met with Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, and later, the Queen.
While Harry spoke fondly of his reunion with his grandmother, the Duke of Sussex did not mention his meeting with Charles, which has reportedly been described as “edgy” and “tense” by royal sources.
Soon after Harry and Charles’ meeting, Private Eye reported that the Duke is expected to refuse to attend his father’s coronation if, as expected, Camilla is crowned by his side.
The report said: “One red line has recently emerged, however.
“Harry has no intention of attending his father’s coronation if Camilla is to be anointed and crowned just a few feet from where his mother’s coffin lay in Westminster Abbey.

“[The Queen] may have given her blessing to Camilla becoming Queen Consort, but Harry refuses to bend.”
Duncan Larcombe, who was for many years royal correspondent of The Sun, told The Daily Beast last week that this would be a “high-profile boycott” of Charles’ coronation.
He said: “Charles facing a high-profile boycott of his coronation by his son is the stuff of nightmares for him as it goes right to the core of his credibility.
“Harry has long suggested that Charles was a bad dad, it is not a huge jump from there to say that he is not fit to be king.”
He added: “If that happens it will be a hammer blow to Charles’ hopes to hit the ground running. Charles has to fix it.”
It comes amid speculation regarding the content of Harry’s upcoming memoir.
Mr Larcombe, a biographer for Harry, has claimed that there is a deep unease in the Palace that Harry is going to use his memoir, due to be published later this year, to attack Camilla.
Mr Larcombe said: “If Harry uses the book to hit his stepmother with a series of ‘truth bombs’ all bets are off.”
Harry said in a press release in July that the “intimate and heartfelt” book will be written “not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become”.

According to Penguin Random House, the book’s publishers, Harry’s memoir will “share, for the very first time, the definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses and life lessons that have helped shape him”.
Harry said upon the confirmation of the book: “I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story — the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned — I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.”
Royal experts have suggested Harry is “going out of his way” to preserve his grandmother’s reputation in her Platinum Jubilee year.
Harry is believed to share a close relationship with his grandmother, the Duke telling Hoda Kotb last month that the pair share a “special bond”.
Omid Scobie, co-author of ‘Finding Freedom’, told the Royally Obsessed podcast in March: “I’ve been told by sources that Harry is going out of his way to make sure there is nothing in there that could be construed as being negative towards the Queen or her reign in any way.”
He added: “I don’t think that ‘warts and all’ moment is going to happen.”
Similarly, royal biographer Tina Brown told The Sun: “Harry’s not going to go after the Queen, she’s sacrosanct. And he probably won’t go after Kate, who he’s very fond of.”
However, Ms Brown, author of ‘The Palace Papers’, claimed that the prince “will go after Charles and Camilla and maybe William.”
The prince is expected to release his memoir in Autumn this year.
Clarence House and Prince Harry’s representative have been contacted for comment.
