MEGHAN Markle & Prince Harry will miss out on a key tradition when the King is crowned in London later this year.
Although Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may attend the King's coronation celebrations, it seems the pair are "unlikely" to earn a top spot on Buckingham Palace's balcony to greet the public after the service itself.
In a statement announcing more details for the coronation weekend, Buckingham Palace said: "The coronation will reflect the monarch's role today and look towards the future, while being rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry."
Harry & Meghan were both absent from the balcony during the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations last summer.
Prince Andrew also missed out on the moment and it is expected that King Charles will follow a similar protocol.

Dallington Hall in Northamptonshire was home to the royal's great uncle, Charles Spencer, and served as a home for injured soldiers during the Second World War.
This five-bedroom property, on the market for £995,000, comprises a major portion of the town house.
It was built in 1720 for Sir Joseph Jekyll, a prominent barrister, judge and Master of the Rolls.
The house has a striking front door and a magnificent two-storey listed Georgian oak staircase.
Former Met Police inspector Mark Andrews – who was also Camilla’s former chief police protection officer – will become the King’s and her new head chauffeur, The Sun can reveal.
The source said: “Camilla was particularly shaken when the car she and Charles were travelling in was attacked by rioters. It enhanced her awareness about security and she came to place great trust and reliance in Mark.
“She has total confidence in him and wants him to be part of the team. Charles and Camilla really could not be in better hands while he is driving them.”
While appearing on the Apple Fitness + podcast Time to Walk, Prince William revealed the 80s hit that he and his mother used to sing together.
He told the podcast: “When I was younger, Harry and I, we were at boarding school. And my mother used to play all sorts of songs to kind of while away the anxiety of going back to school.
“And one of the songs I massively remember and has stuck with me all this time, and I still, to this day, still quite enjoy secretly, is Tina Turner’s “The Best” because sitting in the backseat, singing away, it felt like a real family moment.
“And my mother, she’d be driving along, singing at the top of her voice. And we’d even get the policeman in the car, he’d be occasionally singing along, as well.”
Paediatric nurse and consultant Lorren Khumalo was employed by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to look after Archie when he was just a few months old.
The Sussexes were living at Frogmore Cottage at the time, before they moved to America.
Speaking on The Breakfast Club with Zenzele Ndebele, Khumalo said: "I thought to myself, 'I wonder how their nannies look, do they wear heels?'
"Prince William has got a Norland Nanny, so they've got a brown uniform that for my skin colour and the way it looks in khaki brown, I knew it wouldn't even go, it would just not work.
"So I [thought] I'll wear something dark and nice kitten heels but I'll look presentable for a royal so I need to do my best. But I didn't use any make-up, I said if they take me, they take me as I am.
"I wasn't born with a silver spoon, I'm not blue blood, I will go as I am and trust me with my God, I'll get this job."
She added: "So I got there and there's lots of checks that they do but when I got there I expected to see a princely somebody, in those very expensive German, Swiss suits or something. He was in his jeans, in a t-shirt, walking barefoot because it was hot.
"And I kept asking his PPO, so his protection officer, 'Do I curtsy, do I have to?' And he just looked at me and laughed and he said, 'You'll see, Prince Harry is amazing'.
"When I got there, the way he opened his arms 'Hello Lorren!' and gave me a hug.
"[I thought] 'Wow, what a gentleman, what a gem', oh my goodness, I couldn't believe it."
"And when I walked in and saw Meghan I thought 'My God, what a beautiful woman'.
"I just felt so comfortable, it wasn't so formal as I expected it to be, it was just a normal home."
Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson inherited the late-Queen's beloved corgis following her death in September last year.
But they will not be feeding them with plain old supermarket kibble.
Speaking about the dogs' diet, royal chef Darren McGrady told Hello!: "The beef would come in, we would cook it, dice it into really fine pieces and then we did the same with the chicken.
"We'd poach them, and again chop them really, really small to make sure there were no bones so the dogs wouldn't choke."
Andrew and Fergie still live together at Royal Lodge, despite divorcing in 1996.
The Royal Family shared a recipe for the Scottish pudding Cranachan from the royal kitchens on social media in honour of Burns Night.

Just Stop Oil protesters could “interfere” with the Coronation of King Charles, City Hall has been told.
Speaking at the London Assembly policing and crime committee today, chairman Susan Hall asked Met Police commissioner Sir Mark Rowley: “I’ve been told by Henry Riley of LBC that he’s been having discussions with Just Stop Oil and that they’re going to try and interfere with the coronation itself.
“Have you heard anything around that?”
Rowley replied: “I haven’t seen that intelligence yet myself.
“I know they have a week of protest planned the week before the coronation.
“Whether they intend to extend that into that I don’t know. That may or may not be true.
“We will do everything we can to make the coronation the special moment it ought to be, just as we did with her late Majesty’s funeral.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would have been among the first members of the Royal Family to hear about Princess Eugenie's pregnancy, according to royal expert Ingrid Seward.
Seward told the Mirror: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex would have been amongst the first to hear the news of Eugenie’s pregnancy.
“Meghan and Harry are close with Eugenie – and not only has she stayed with them in California, but they have been on holidays together before Harry’s marriage.”

Piers Morgan has been a vocal critic of Meghan Markle since their friendship turned sour, so it may be surprising to hear that he would “love” to interview her and husband Prince Harry.
Speaking to Spencer Matthews on his Big Fish podcast, Morgan said: “I’d be quite good in training Meghan and Harry to be proper people again.
“If you could swing it I’d love to do an interview with both of them actually.
“No holds barred, live interview, me one-on-one with Meghan and Harry.
“It would break all records for television viewing in history and I’d have a few supplementary questions that would go a little further than the current questions.”
He added: “I do think the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would be great for them and for me.
“I think that would be one of those meetings of minds where we could get it off our chest and move on.”

Prince Harry recalled the time he and Meghan Markle invited Prince William and Princess Kate over for dinner at Nottingham Cottage.
This was the first time the two couples ever met.
During the encounter, Harry realised how different the women are through their clothing.
He wrote in his memoir: “The only possibly discordant note I could think of was the marked difference in how the two women dressed, which both of them seemed to notice.
“Meg: ripped jeans, barefoot. Kate: done up to the nines. No big deal, I thought.”
Meghan Markle also spoke about this encounter in the Netflix docu-series, explaining how she “started to understand very quickly that the formality on the outside carried through on the inside.”
Prince Andrew's accuser, Virginia Giuffre, has signed a deal to publish a memoir, according to reports.
The news comes as the disgraced Duke of York is considering contesting the multimillion-pound settlement reached last year to stop the case proceeding to trial.
Sources close to the book deal suggest Giuffre will not be allowed to write about Andrew or the settlement, as part of the deal was that she was barred from speaking publicly about her allegations.
The director of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix docuseries, Liz Garbus, believes Buckingham Palace officials attempted to “discredit” the show.
Speaking to Vanity Fair about “alleged palace mind games” Garbus said: “Buckingham Palace said that we didn’t reach out for comment [on the docuseries] when we did.
“They did that to discredit us… and by discrediting us, they can discredit the content of the show.”
She added: “We lived through some of those moments that were a little bit like ‘Alice Through the Looking Glass.'”
Princess Eugenie‘s second child will be 13th in line to the throne, but who is in front of the forthcoming prince or princess?
See below the 12 royals in line for the throne, in order of succession:
Princess Eugenie is currently 11th in line to the throne, while her son August follows her in 12th.
Now that she announced that she's pregnant with her second child, the new royal baby will affect the line of succession once she or he is born.
The baby will be 13th in line, moving everyone a step away from the throne.
Prince Edward will be moved to 14th while Princess Anne will now be 17th in line.
The director of Harry and Meghan, Liz Garbus hit back at claims that Buckingham Palace was not asked to comment.
The Netflix docu-series included a statement which read: "Members of the royal family decline to comment on the content within this series.”
While speaking with Vanity Fair, Garbus said that during the making of the series, she felt immersed in Harry and Meghan's situation with the palace.
She said: "For instance, Buckingham Palace said that we didn’t reach out for comment [on the docuseries] when we did.
"They did that to discredit us…and by discrediting us, they can discredit the content of the show.… We lived through some of those moments that were a little bit like Alice Through the Looking Glass.”
Prince George and Prince Charlotte call Prince William "Poachy" after they were inspired by top TV chef Ainsley Harriott.
He told The Sun about how it all started with an interview he did with Greg James on Radio 1.
Ainsely said: "We did this thing about whether you take a bath or not. What do you do in the bath, and I was like sometimes you have a little wee in the bath. You don't mean to but there's something about that relaxation. We then talked about cooking fish in the bath. Greg asked 'could you cook a fish in the bath?'
"I said 'yeah, if it's a little bit of seabass or plaice or something like that'. You wouldn't want a thick bit of fish because it wouldn't poach. Anyway, apparently Prince William and Kate were taking George and Charlotte to school and they found it hysterical.
"He [Wills] came in to do an interview at the studio, and he called over Greg James and said 'the kids love it. They loved that you were talking about eating fish in the water'.
"Why hello there, Jill' – which went viral after he greeted a surprised competition winner on live TV with those very words – to "Why hello there, Will. Poachy, poachy, poachy."
"George and Charlotte now call their dad Poachy. Isn't that sweet and so lovely? [laughs]."
King Charles' Coronation on May 6 might clash with the biggest win the Royal Family has ever seen on the racetrack.
It comes after three-year-old colt Slipofthepen is 25-1 to land the prestigious 2000 Guineas at Newmarket on that day.
The prize fund would be £500,000 along with £283,000 to the winner.
A poll for Newsweek magazine showed that Prince Harry's and Meghan's popularity in the US plummeted.
The Duke dropped 45 points in the US public opinion while Meghan dropped 36 points in a month.
It comes after Harry released his new memoir, Spare, on January 10, which resulted in record sales.
Before the release, Harry's approval rating was +38, but now it stands at -7.
Meanwhile, Meghan was at +23 and now finds herself at -13.
Netflix's The Crown is rolling again as they were seen filming scenes at Winchester Cathedral yesterday.

Dominic West – who plays the then Prince Charles – was also filming.
