Amid the success of Prince Harry’s tell-all memoir Spare, publishers are reportedly calling on Meghan Markle to release her own explosive book.
A source told the Express: “Its instant, phenomenal success has taken everyone by surprise.
“Nobody expected sales figures like the ones we are seeing. Harry could easily overtake the combined book sales of the Obamas, the company’s current joint best-selling authors.
“That’s why the heat is on to get Meghan’s version of events – both with the Royal Family and her own family members in America – out there in print as soon as possible, ideally early next year to pick-up sales when demand for Spare slows down.”
A Bafta insider has claimed executives in London rejected the idea of inviting the Sussexes.
The source, a Bafta consultant, said: “Bafta decided it was a terrible idea, they thought it would be a PR disaster.
“Prince Harry, in his book and docu-series, has roundly attacked the Royal Family.
“The US team was reminded that Harry’s arch-nemesis, his brother Prince William, is president of Bafta.
“So for them to roll out the red carpet to Harry and his wife would be like setting off a nuclear bomb. It’s a no go.
“Any interviews he or Meghan gave would go viral.
“Anything negative on William would be devastating.”

Following the death of Her Majesty the Queen last year, the royal line of succession changed somewhat.
Now Charles is King, his eldest son, Prince William, became heir to the throne, and then his children Prince George, moved up to second in line followed by Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Prince Harry became fifth in line with son Archie sixth.
Meghan Markle and Harry's second baby, daughter Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor is seventh in line.
Residents of Northampton town centre have been left dazed and confused by the appearance of an uncanny mural depicting King Charles and the late Queen.
Locals say the painting, erected to mark the beginning of the reign of King Charles III is so odd it has been scaring their children.
Kerry Bellingham, 33, who lives nearby, said: "There's no doubt the area needed a bit of colour but I fear it's made us a bit of a laughing stock.
"The one of the Queen isn't too bad but I've seen people having selfies with the Charles one while laughing their heads off.
"It just doesn't look like him. The eyes are weirdly too close together, his hair is all wrong and it's only the ears which really tells you it is him.
"I think the money could have been spent much better elsewhere in the town. I'm not anti-Royal by a long shot but it's just an awful resemblance of our King."

Princess Diana's former butler, Paul Burrell, has slammed Prince Harry for simply referring to him as "the butler" in his book Spare.
“Harry knows how integrated into their mother’s life I was. But he refers to me in the book only as “the butler” which is one of his many jabs to many people in this book," Mr Burrell told The Sun.
"It’s insulting, considering how close we were, and the countless memories we shared, but his resentment goes far and wide, it seems," said Paul.

"And he's made it really clear that not just the Duke of Duchess of Sussex but also Lilibet and Archie are very welcome in London in May for his coronation.
"I think the doors are open, both sides are saying the doors are open.
"But I don't think the channels of communication are going to be open for quite some time."
Prince Harry's explosive memoir has been on the shelves for almost a week now, causing no small amount of controversy since its release.
But have you read the tell-all book and what did you think of it?
Amid the success of Prince Harry’s tell-all memoir Spare, publishers are reportedly calling on Meghan Markle to release her own explosive book.
A source told the Express: “Its instant, phenomenal success has taken everyone by surprise.
“Nobody expected sales figures like the ones we are seeing. Harry could easily overtake the combined book sales of the Obamas, the company’s current joint best-selling authors.

Writing in his explosive memoir Spare, Prince Harry hit out at Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell.
Mr Burrell had been a central part of Diana's life, but published a tell-all book about the royal following her death.
In Spare, Prince Harry claims the book made his "blood boil" and slammed the butler.
Mr Burrell has now hit back at the duke.
Branding Harry's words "foolish" and "rich", he said: "Harry forgets what led to my book — I was put on trial and went to hell and back for two years, wrongly accused of theft.
"The prosecution had its say but I never had mine. The book was my defence. It was also a loving tribute to his mother and grandmother.
"Harry knows full well how devoted I was to his mother, in life and on the page.
“He's gone from the world which I knew into a very different world, influenced by very different people, and his personality has changed.
"And so I'm very, very sad. I almost burst into tears when I saw that he'd attacked me.
"I shared his childhood. My boys played with him and William. We enjoyed day trips together.
"He knows that my book came from a place of despair."

Kate Middleton's uncle claims he "saw red" after reading Prince Harry's claims about the bridesmaid dress row in his new memoir.
The Duke of Sussex names his young niece, Princess Charlotte, now seven, in the incident and insists that his sister-in-law the Princess of Wales was responsible for the Royal argument.
Recounting the incident, Harry said Kate sent Meghan Markle a text which read: “Charlotte’s dress is too big, too long, too baggy."
Mr Goldsmith wrote in the Daily Mail: "This made me see red. How dare Harry share such a confidence involving a young child?"
Kate's uncle went on to talk about the Duke's "temerity" to discuss leaving the Firm to protect his wife and son's privacy while he "violated his niece's confidentiality".
Princess Diana‘s biographer Andrew Morton believes Prince Harry will never regret writing his bombshell book Spare.
Speaking exclusively to HELLO!’s A Right Royal Podcast, Morton said: “Harry will have thought long and hard before doing this, but he also has the undivided support of his wife, which is very different.
“I mean, this is a huge contrast between Harry and Diana. Diana was talking about a broken marriage, an unhappy marriage. Harry’s talking about unhappiness with an institution.”
“Diana, and let’s just get straight, never regretted for a living second having cooperated with the book and even wrote to us to say as much.
“There’s been all kinds of speculation to say: ‘Oh, she regretted it.’ She never did.
“She was relieved when the book came out. And so were many people who worked in Buckingham Palace.”
Speaking about Harry’s decision to write his tell-all memoir, Morton added: “I’m sure he feels like he has done the right thing.”
In his bombshell book Spare, the Duke of Sussex told how he attacked one of the Scotland Yard protection officers in charge of looking after him, while he was drunk on a night out in Paris.
He had been in Paris when he had too much to drink and ended up assaulting Sergeant Bill Renshaw – who he nicknamed Billy the Rock.
In the book he says: “When Billy the Rock escorted me back to the hotel, I tried to pick a fight with him. I growled at him, swung on him, slapped his head.
“He barely reacted. He just frowned like an ultra-patient parent. I slapped him again. I loved him but I was determined to hurt him.
“He’d seen me like this before. Once, maybe twice. I heard him say to another bodyguard, ‘He’s a handful tonight’.”
A number of royals live at the palace currently, including Prince William and Princess Kate with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Despite the fact that they moved to Windsor in 2022, Apartment 1A at Kensington Palace remains their official London residence.
Other residents include the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Princess Eugenie (with Jack Brooksbank and their son, August), The Duke and Duchess of Kent and Prince and Princess Michael of Kent.
Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent, lives with his wife Katharine, the Duchess of Kent in Wren House at Kensington Palace.
The Duke of Kent's brother, Prince Michael of Kent, and his wife, Princess Michael of Kent live in Apartment 10 at Kensington Palace.
Princess Eugenie, her husband Jack Brooksbank, and their young son spend part of their time at Ivy Cottage at Kensington Palace, as they now split their time between London and Portugal.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle previously lived in the grounds also, in Nottingham Cottage, prior to their starting a new life in America.
According to a reported royal insider, Prince William is devastated to see his relationship with Harry fall apart.
The royal insider told US Weekly: “William is absolutely horrified by all of this. He doesn’t even recognise his own brother anymore.
“He wants to believe that there’s still hope for peace down the line but it’s hard.”
In his new book Spare, Prince Harry looked back on the time he drove through the tunnel where his mother died.
He said: “I’d always imagined the tunnel as some treacherous passageway, inherently dangerous, but it was just a short, simple, no-frills tunnel.”
He spoke to William after the trip, and the Prince of Wales admitted also going through the tunnel himself.
Harry wrote: “Afterwards, we talked about the accident for the first time. The recent investigation. We both agreed that it left a lot to be uncovered.
“The final report was an insult. A shambles riddled with basic factual errors where logic was conspicuous by its absence.
“It raised more questions than it answered.
“How was it possible, we wondered, after all the years that had passed, all the money that had been invested…?”
The royal family have remained professional and dignified since the release of Prince Harry's memoir.
The senior members of the royal family have made no mention of the allegations in their recent royal engagements.
