Last week, viewers were treated to the last three instalments of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix series. The six-part docu-series detailed the moment the Duke and Duchess of Sussex met, to the duo making the decision to withdraw as working royals. However, in a new interview, Ann Widdecombe shared her thoughts on Harry and Meghan and what will happen when the Prince’s new book is released next year.
Speaking on behalf of FairBettingSites, Ann discussed her predictions for the couple in 2023.
She went on to claim the pair “haven’t got any selling points” other than their “royal connections”.
“I think they will go on the path that they’ve now set themselves,” the former MP predicted.
“There’s a book coming out in the early New Year, we know that for a certainty.

Harry and Meghan’s Netflix docu-series has left viewers divided
“That will be the next step. The question is how long can they keep going on with this?
“The only thing they’ve got is their royal connections. They haven’t got anything else or any other selling points.
“If they want to go on maintaining that sort of lifestyle, they’re going to have to make money somehow.”
Ann went on to claim that Harry and Meghan’s “capacity to make money on the back of their royal connections will be dwindling.”

Prince Harry is set to release a book next year
She continued: “Now, they’ve already made an awful lot and if they’d been prudent with it and put it aside, they can live on it for years to come.
“I do not see that they can go on making money at the pace that they are now.
“The book will probably be the last throw of the dice unless Meghan produces a book the following year.
“That’s always possible, but you get to the stage where you say what more is there for us to give?”

Touching upon whether the Sussex’s will be “welcomed back to the UK”, Ann added: “I don’t think they’ll want to return to the UK.
“I don’t think they’ll be welcomed here at the moment. Time is a great healer.
“I don’t see anything spectacular happening over the next five years, and possibly not the next 10.
“But it’s always possible that there will be some sort of healing.”
Ann also shared her thoughts on the Royal Family and whether Harry can mend his relationship with his father and brother.
She concluded: “I think probably now it’s not going to be easily soluble.
“Right up until this moment perhaps it was, and I think it would have taken time.
“But now, it’s difficult to see how that rift can be healed. I can’t imagine they’ll come back into the Royal fold in the next ten years.”
