In the audiobook of his memoir, Harry sings “Your Song.”
According to Meghan Markle, Prince Harry can win a Grammy for the narration of the book of his memoirs, ‘Spare’, for next year’s award. According to Markle, her husband is on par with former President Barack Obama, who won the award for the narration of his memoir a few years ago.
Meghan claims that Harry’s soothing voice and the performance he gives on the audiobook of “Your Song” are credentials enough for him to take home the Grammy.
As reported from DailyMail.com, Harry has all the credentials to win the Grammy for Best Spoken Narration (Best Audiobook, Narration and Story Recording).
Meghan, as well as several of her team, claim that Harry has the right voice for it, and at one point in the audiobook, he sings a verse from Elton John’s Your Song when he refers to what was the 2007 concert in tribute to his mom, Princess Diana.
At that benefit concert, ‘Concert for Diana’, Elton John sang ‘Your Song’ instead of ‘Candle in the Wind’, which he re-recorded in 1997 after Diana’s death and sang at her funeral.
According to close sources, Hollywood adores Harry, both for his gift of gab and his sense of humor. “He’s the one with the star power,” they claim.
This year’s Grammy is on February 5, and the nominees in the category in which Harry could compete (Best Spoken Word Album) are Viola Davis, Questlove, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jamie Foxx and Mel Brooks. If Harry is nominated, it would be for next year’s award show.
Another big event where Harry could appear if his closeness to Hollywood is true is the next Academy Awards, to be held in March.
Meanwhile, the site Archewell published a congratulations to Harry on the success of his book: “Huge congratulations to Prince Harry on the publication of his memoir, Spare. As his team, we are proud to stand by his side and celebrate the world finally hearing his story in his own words. Thank you for your courage, honesty, humor and light. You have inspired us all. With admiration, the staff and team at Archewell and the Private Office of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”
