The group appeared to put any differences aside as they visited a flower memorial in Windsor for their late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, who died on Thursday at the age of 96.
While greeting the crowd, the newly named Princess of Wales opened up about how her children are taking the loss of their great-grandmother. Per the Independent, Kate was “welling up” as she told a group of children that “Louis said ‘at least Grannie is with great grandpa now.’”
Banita Ranow, from London, who overheard the Princess also spoke of how nice it was to see the brothers together again. Her mother, Baljinder Ranow, also added: “I felt so emotional and I felt the Queen would have loved it. I just hope in the future they remain like that and that the brothers come together, and the families.”
The appearance came just a few hours after William issued his first public statement as Prince of Wales, sharing a personal reflection on his grandmother’s life, which read in part:
