Harry Connick Jr.’s Cape Cod Home—Complete With Music Room—Lists for $12.5 Million
Singer and actor Harry Connick Jr. is listing his longtime Cape Cod vacation house—a waterfront home with a music room—for $12.5 million. Connick and his wife, former model Jill Goodacre Connick, raised their three daughters primarily in Connecticut. They paid $5.3 million for the Chatham, Massachusetts, property in 2006, according to property records. “Our children could come and go as they pleased,” said the New Orleans native in a statement. “We could walk to town, to the grocery store and pharmacy, to Chatham A’s baseball games and the Fourth of July parade.” The Wall Street Journal
Rhode Island’s Most Expensive Property Is a $30 Million Compound
A three-home compound in Jamestown, Rhode Island, has hit the market for $30 million, making it the state’s most expensive home for sale. The waterfront property stands on 3.2 acres overlooking Narragansett Bay. The property originally had a 58-room Queen Anne-style “summer cottage,” but that was replaced by three smaller dwellings—a three-story main home, a one-room cabin and a two-story workshop. A Strong First Quarter for Dubai’s Home Market
Dubai’s real estate market remained resilient during the first quarter, while Abu Dhabi’s residential sales market showed promising signs of growth for the foreseeable future, according to data from property expert Asteco. During the three-month period, Dubai transactions amounted to over 10,000 residential units, comprising 7,300 apartments and 2,750 villas, a significant increase compared to the previous quarter. Hawaii Housing Market ‘Bleak’ for Its Residents, Report Says
For residents, Hawaii’s housing supply and affordability were “bleak” last year, according to a report from the University of Hawaii Economic Research Organization. Just 20% of Hawaii households were able to afford a median-priced single-family house in 2023, down from 30% in 2022 and 44% in 2021.
