Since the Causeway reopened, many of us Singaporeans have crossed over for shopping, affordable food, and massages. What most don’t know about though, is that there’s a bougie quayside isle that is JB’s answer to Sentosa Cove just 20 minutes away from Tuas Checkpoint. Enter: Puteri Harbour.
The destination has seaside restaurants for a meal, hotels at affordable prices, activities such as tennis and rock climbing, and also a ferry terminal with ferries that travel to Indonesia. So naturally, we went to kaypoh to find out why you should make your way there for your next weekend jaunt.

At sunset, take your kids out for a stroll around the quayside so you can snap chio pics for the ‘Gram and make sweet memories while you’re at it.
Puteri Harbour is also a place where you can wine and dine in style. There are a plethora of restaurants with various types of cuisines to suit your fancy.

Chomp down a Messi Burger (RM78; ~S$24.28) stuffed with beef, cheese, chorizo, red onions, smoky sauce, lettuce, tomato, and a fried egg, paired with a beer while catching live band performances at Hard Rock Cafe Puteri Harbour, or get the group together for Indian fusion food at Spice Grill.

Those sticking to a healthy diet can enjoy refreshing cold-pressed juices, smoothie bowls, and mocktails at Caribbean Juice Bar. Serving Bali vibes, it’s a carefree beach bar where everything on the menu is vegan-friendly. Not to mention, it’s located in an old shipping container with rattan decor and pretty wooden furnishings. “That Girl” energy, but make it boho chic.
From here, there are 2 options: stay the night or hop on a ferry to Indonesia. There are various hotels you can check into such as JEN Johor Puteri Harbour by Shangri-La (from S$126/night) or Trinidad Suites Puteri Harbour (from $48/night). The former is a 4-star hotel with a rooftop infinity pool and so you can pretend to be a baller for the weekend.
