TEMPO.CO, Banjarmasin – Chief of Proud of Indonesian Made National Movement (Gernas BBI) in South Kalimantan, Rusdi Hartono, said that Banjarmasin Floating Market will apply non-cash transactions or digital transactions.
“We’re pushing for the acil (women traders) at the floating market to implement non-cash transactions by using QRIS code,” Rusdi Hartono told journalists after a meeting at Mahligai Pancasila building in Banjarmasin, Thursday, July 21, 2022.
The peak commemoration event of Proud of Indonesian Made National Movement will be held at Banjarmasin city park called Taman Siring 0 Kilometer from Friday to Sunday, July 22-24. Several programs will enliven the event, namely South Kalimantan fashion show, the launching of Gernas BBI, ornamental boat carnivals, online exhibitions, MSME business auctions, and investor meetings or the Coffee Corner.
Rusdi Hartono said his side is ready for the event and will sell fish products of South Kalimantan. “Six hundreds South Kalimantan MSMEs will enliven the GBBI event,” he said.
He fully supports the Proud of Indonesian Made National Movement (Gernas BBI) program to accelerate the economic recovery and to love domestic products, especially in South Kalimantan.
Meanwhile, South Kalimantan Governor H. Sahbirin Noor invited the people to visit the series of event held by Gernas BBI in Banjarmasin. “Come and buy the products of MSMEs,” he said.
Head of Bank Indonesia (BI) Representative for South Kalimantan Province Imam Subarkah said Gernas BBI targets to increase the number of MSMEs or small industries, including creative economy actors who are included in the digital ecosystem.
BI is targeting an increase in the number of sales or purchases of local products as well as people’s purchasing power. Subarkah also hopes for market expansion, additional access to capital, training, data collection, and acceleration of the local economic cycle through local product spending.
