While the summer heat is just approaching, the town is preparing for its lineup of fall events. Residents, businesses and organizations are invited to participate in the fun by hosting a booth, sponsoring or volunteering.
Founders’ Day, celebrating the town’s heritage and anniversary, will be on Saturday, Sept. 16 and Trunk or Treat will be on Saturday, Oct. 21. On March 23 of 2024, the town will host Spring Into QC.
The 2023/2024 special event applications are now digital. Reserve a vendor, entertainment, carnival booth or trunk space at QueenCreekAZ.gov/RecRegistration. Vendor fees vary based on booth type; a discount is available for businesses and organizations that register for all three events – the deadline for the multi-event discount is July 26. All booth spaces are 10 feet by 10 feet; vendors are responsible for their own supplies and equipment.
Founders’ Day will be at Founders’ Park, located at 22407 S. Ellsworth Road, from 5 to 9 p.m. This popular hometown event will include fun activities, great food, music, live entertainment and the exciting Battle of the Badge. Vendor applications are due on Thursday, Aug. 10.
Trunk or Treat provides a safe and unique way for families to enjoy an evening of Halloween fun in a festival atmosphere. Trunk or Treat will be in the Town Center, on Ellsworth Road, north of Ocotillo Road, from 5 to 9 p.m. Along with other exciting Halloween attractions, children trick‐or-treat by going from car trunk to car trunk on “Trunk or Treat Street” to get their bags filled with goodies. Vendor, carnival booth and trunk host applications are due on Thursday, Sept. 7.
Spring Into QC will be at Mansel Carter Oasis Park, located at 19535 E. Appleby Road, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The egg-citing event includes rodeo egg roundup for the little ones, live entertainment, billy goat bingo, the fast and the furriest, adorable animal races and more. Vendor and entertainment group applications are due on Feb. 15, 2024.
