Queen Rania of Jordan and King Abdullah II of Jordan have arrived at Buckingham Palace for the state reception King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla are hosting ahead of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral tomorrow.
During a conversation with ITV News earlier today, Queen Rania spoke about her relationship with Queen Elizabeth.
She said the late monarch had a “warm personality and remarkable legacy”.
“Not only did she have an incredible impact during her lifetime, but in her passing she has unified the country,” Queen Rania added.
“I have never seen such a sense of community and unity in this country as I see today,” Queen Rania explained, saying many people had put their differences aside to pay tribute to the late monarch.

“They came together and remembered what is most important, which is that they are all unified in their love for their country and their monarch”.
The Queen of Jordan also commented on the thousands forming The Queue – miles of queuing to see Queen Elizabeth lying in state.
She said it was “humbling” that so many were voluntarily paying their respects all because of their “love” for the former head of the Royal Family.
Queen Rania spent many occasions in Queen Elizabeth’s company and reflected on the “most wonderful” memories she has of her.

She told the news channel how the late monaarch had the ability to “make you feel you are the most important person in the room”.
Queen Rania also said how Queen Elizabeth was “elegant” not just in her appearance but also “the way she lived her life” and “conducted herself”.
Queen Rania, was born in Kuwait to Palestinian parents, became royalty when she wed the Jordanian King Abdullah II back in 1993.
Jordan and the UK have close ties, and share a warm relationship, with King Charles III having been friends with successive generations of Jordanian rulers.

It was just last November when Charles and Camilla visited Jordan and spent time with King Abdullah II and Queen Rania.
And Queen Rania extended her deepest sympathies to the new King at such a difficult time.
She said her “heart goes out” to him and made reference to the death of of King Hussein – Rania’s father-in-law in 1999.
“I know how difficult it is to have to contend with a personal loss and the grief that comes with it, at the same time assume such a huge responsibility,” Queen Rania explained.
Queen Rania joins Queen Letizia of Spain and King Felipe to attend Buckingham Palace tonight.
President of the United States, Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are also in attendance.
French President Emmanuel Macron and wife Brigitte Macron were also pictured arriving.
