Pakistan-based rectech company RemoteBase.com has raised $2.1 million U.S. in pre-series A funding round, valuing it at $65 million. Founded in 2020, RemoteBase connects pre-vetted remote developers to companies in more than six countries. Currently, it is working with more than 5,000 engineers covering 20 technologies and more than 50 customers, according to the startup.
The round was led by Pakistan-based early-stage venture capital fund Indus Valley Capital and U.S.-based Hustlefund Ventures. Soma Capital, Angel Squad and Draper University Ventures also participated, as did a number of angel investors. Previously, RemoteBase had raised $1.4 million in a seed round.
RemoteBase plans to utilize its latest funding to develop Talently, a recruitment marketplace. Talently provides employers with access to a pool of pre-vetted tech professionals and allows them to hire these individuals directly for a monthly subscription fee that starts at $499.
