Madonna’s Father Lists Michigan Winery With Five-Bedroom House
Madonna’s father, Silvio “Tony” Ciccone, is selling his Northern Michigan winery, with an asking price of $4.295 million. Located in Leelanau Peninsula, the 78-acre property includes 15 acres of planted vines, a renovated barn and a 1990 main house, which has five bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms. Chardonnay, pinot gris, riesling, pinot noir, cabernet sauvignon, dolcetto and sangiovese grapes are harvested on the property. The winery produced its first vintage in 1998, and the family added a tasting room in 2000. The Ciccones lived in the main house, but it could also serve as a vacation rental or an event venue. Despite a Slowdown, the Home Market Austin, Texas, is Showing Resilience
The home market in Austin, Texas, and its surrounding areas continues to cool down, according to new figures. But despite higher mortgage interest rates, the Central Texas market is showing resilience, according to the Austin Board of Realtors. In its July report, the board said home sales in the Austin region edged up 0.6% year-over-year, with 2,815 home sales. Half of those sold for $462,000 or more and half sold for less, for a 10.3% drop in the median price, the board said. “We are seeing a year-over-year decline in median sales prices, as buyers cannot afford the same price points with these higher rates,” said Clare Losey, housing economist for the Austin Board of Realtors.
