Every month, Gideon’s Bakehouse at Disney Springs has a new limited-edition cookie flavor. In November 2022, guests can enjoy the pumpkin bread chocolate crumb cookie.
The November 2022 limited-edition menu features “A boy they called Pumpkinfists.” This character has giant fists and stands in a pumpkin patch.
The story of Pumpkinfists is on the back of the menu, along with the list of the cookie, cake, and cold brew flavors available.
The story reads, “Long ago, in a distant land lived a young boy with two enormous hands. People in town mocked him each day, eventually casting the poor boy away. Left alone in a field of dust and sand, he began planting pumpkin seeds with his two giant hands. Then with the famine of 1898, he returned to town to help fill every plate. He arrived with enough pumpkins to feed one and all, and that’s how a boy they called ‘pumpkinfists’ became a hero that fall.”
We do recommend getting a cold brew to wash this cookie down.
The pumpkin bread chocolate crumb cookie is similar in texture to the coffee cake cookie offered every morning while supplies last.
It’s moist and delicious. The outside of the cookie is made up of crumb cake while the interior is pumpkin and chocolate.
This cookie is a pumpkin lover’s dream and it’s perfect for fall at Disney Springs.

The Bakehouse is located in The Landing at Disney Springs, across from Wine Bar George. It’s owned and operated by Orlando locals, who boast that their personal recipe took 15 years to perfect. The signature offerings are the large, dense cookies covered in chocolate (or other flavored) chips. The cookies are almost a half-pound each and take over 24 hours to make. The shop often utilizes a virtual queue as the venue is popular but small. Guests can stop by to pick up a menu card and join the queue.
Gideon’s Bakehouse is known for its spooky atmosphere and monthly cookie releases. They often have limited-time offerings, such as special cake slices on the weekends, or treats released for one-day only. A monthly slate of cakes are also on offer, alongside a variety of cold brews.
Each month is brought to guests by a different mascot, such as Lydia Lovecraft, Dr. Kenneth Agny, Nurse Stillwater, Bertrand LaScie, and even seasonally themed mascots like Krampus. All of the art is done by Michael Reyes, the in-house brand manager. You can purchase merchandise featuring the characters both in the store and online at their website.
