In continuation of the evacuation efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the directives of the Kingdoms Leadership, several evacuees arrived at King Abdullah Air Base in Jeddah on April 30th, 2023 from the Republic of Sudan, which included 45 Saudi citizens and 36 Pakistani citizens, and were evacuated through a transport plane of the Royal Saudi Air Force. Additionally, H M S “Al-Diriyah” arrived in Jeddah, with 52 people on board of the following nationalities: (Sultanate of Oman, Pakistan, the United States of America, and Nepal). It is worth noting that the Royal Saudi Air Force has evacuated, during the past two days, about 18 nationals of brotherly and friendly countries of the following nationalities:
(South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Nigeria, Eritrea, United Kingdom, Sweden, France, Netherlands, Norway, United States of America, Canada, Australia, Lebanon, Palestine, Somalia, Pakistan, Thailand, Philippines, Uganda, Chad Tanzania, Benin, Indonesia and Turkey).
The Kingdom worked to provide all the necessary needs for nationals of brotherly and friendly countries in preparation for facilitating their departure to their countries.
The total number of evacuees as of May 1, 2023 has reached 5197 persons from more than 100 countries, including 170 U.S citizens.
