Walmart notified two U.S. antitrust agencies it will withdraw and refile a certain review application for its planned acquisition of Vizio … T-Mobile won its bid to appeal a judge’s ruling and block a consumer lawsuit challenging the company’s $26 billion purchase of rival Sprint in 2020 … A federal judge dismissed a consumer lawsuit accusing Apple of driving up fees by prohibiting payment apps from implementing cryptocurrency transactions … A Denver state judge said that he will hear arguments beginning on Aug. 12 in Colorado’s case seeking to block Kroger’s $25 billion purchase of rival grocer Albertsons … Apple, Google and Meta will be investigated for potential breaches of the EU’s new Digital Markets Act … Litigation funder Burford Capital can be named as the plaintiff in lawsuits brought by its financing client Sysco, a federal judge ruled.

In a ruling on Tuesday that allows the SEC to proceed with its case against crypto exchange Coinbase, a Manhattan federal judge threw a bucket of ice-cold water on the crypto industry’s criticism of the SEC’s strategy of setting policy through enforcement actions.
