Book discounted bundles of flight tickets in advance and use it against future bookings
As Singapore eases travel restrictions and launches more vaccinated travel lanes, more vaccinated Singaporeans are beginning to book tickets to venture out in the world again. To ease future bookings, Singapore Airlines (SIA) has launched Flight Pass, a new product that is big on flexibility while allowing you to fly more at a heavily discounted airfare price.
The Flight Pass allows travellers to purchase discounted bundles of tickets in advance. Once they have paid the total cost upfront, they can then decide on the travel dates and book their flights later on at their convenience. Another highlight of the Flight Pass is that travellers are able to turn these advance purchase tickets into actual bookings up to seven days before your desired travel date, anywhere from 12 to 40 flights taken across six months to 18 months. You can also share the tickets in your Flight Pass bundle with anyone you wish to, including your friends and family.
According to SIA, the cost of the Flight Pass is heavily dependent on a range of customisable factors: the number of flights, the number of travellers sharing the Flight Pass, as well as the Travel zone (one of more destinations they wish to travel to).
Currently, the Flight Pass will be offered on SIA flights between Singapore and France, Italy, South Korea, Spain, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. This also includes the VTL flights from these destinations to Singapore, if the trip starts in Singapore. SIA will progressively extend its service to other destinations in the near future.
Frequent flyers must also take note that travels must originate from Singapore, and the Flight Pass is only available for economy class bookings. Flight Pass can be purchased on the SIA website.
